What gives you good quality while being affordable at the same time. Microphone is easy, higher price is better mic (not always because sometimes you pay also for the software) a 30-50 dollar is excellent.
You don't need pro editing software to edit your clips like a pro. People like gameplay videos to be clean and the way you see them (so no added sparks or anything) a good intro would be great for any video just for credits :) some people make free intros.
And the main thing is your capturing software/hardware. For PC gameplay is FRAPS the BEST software to use. While you record it won't lag your game at all if your playing. For xbox or ps3 you should defenitly get the HD PVR Recorder, there are video tutorials about this beautifull hardware.
