What's a good software for reducing image sizes for dozens of photos at a time?

I have an entire year's worth of pictures that need reducing down to a max of 1MB each for uploading. What's a good free software for resizing so many pictures at once? I already have photoshop, but I really don't want to click through seventy or so pictures. You can create an Action in Photoshop that will do this for you, then run from File%26gt;Automate%26gt;Batch to apply the effects from your action to all the images in a chosen folder.



To set up an action, open one of the images and go to Actions palette.

From the drop down list of options select New Action.

Name action and click on Record then apply the effects you want, save and close and from palette options select Stop Recording.



Go to File%26gt;Automate%26gt;Batch. Select the Action, the folder in which the images are located and a destination folder for your altered images. It has something called Batch Conversion where you can change Folders including subfolders.
