Any recommendation of a software which can effectively manage work flows?

Collaboration, teamwork, and two-way communication are what's lacking in our team which we associate to the fact that we are in a telecommute set-up. Yet I know a good software can solution this.Any recommendation of a software which can effectively manage work flows?I would seriously look at office communication server and it's clients. It provides IM, desktop/data sharing, etc.
